Tim Jones
Tim Jones is the owner of Accelerate Computer Training. He has been teaching computer training classes for over twenty years. Tim holds the following professional certifications:

Beverly Houwing
Beverly Houwing worked at Adobe Systems as a Business Development Manager in graphics and ePaper products for over six years. She currently teaches InDesign at UCLA Extension, and has many years of training and consulting experience.

Jonathan Levit
Jonathan Levit’s background in publishing and graphic design took him to work for Quark, Inc. in Denver, Colorado. As a member of the training team at Quark and a founding and lead member of the Quark Evangelism team, Jonathan traveled the globe educating and integrating Quark products into some of the world’s largest publishing houses and design staffs. Jonathan has been called upon to be part of keynote speeches at some of the industry’s largest trade shows, including Seybold.
Since his time with Quark, Jonathan has continued to work in the publishing and graphic design field as a trainer and consultant, both for private classes as well as on-site to help companies adapt and grow within their workflow. As an expert in Quark and QuarkXPress, as well as an Adobe Certified Expert with focus on Adobe InDesign, he is sought after as a trainer and consultant to aid design staffs in their understanding of Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and the migration between the two.
In addition to being able to transfer knowledge and educate his students, putting highly technical information into a format that is easily understandable, Jonathan’s sense of humor and levity creates an atmosphere that students want to be part of and is more conducive to learning.
Jonathan is an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign CS4.
Carol Spear
Carol Spear has been a computer trainer and training manager for more than twenty years. She teaches too many classes to list, and teaches all of them superbly, with a personable and professional polish that only comes from thousands of hours of training room experience.
Accelerate is privileged to have her teach our Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and VBA classes. Carol holds the professional certification of Microsoft Office Specialist.
Kate McCormack
Kate McCormack, a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), has been doing technology training for small and large sized companies for over 20 years. She teaches business software and has worked with many companies to increase their technology skills and efficiency. Nicknamed by her clients “The Shortcut Queen”, Kate's classes always include efficiency tips and tricks that will save you lots of time! Her classes are fun and you are guaranteed to come away with lots of new skills and shortcuts.
Chana Messer
Teaching at the university level for over 20 years in the fields of fine art, life drawing, oil and acrylic on canvas, and papermaking, at Parsons College in NYC and at UCLA, Chana turned her attention to advanced computer graphics and digital imaging, for which she has now been teaching some 15 years at UCLA, Otis College of Art & Design, California State University, and Santa Monica College.
Chana is the lead instructor for the UCLA Visual Arts Department, conducting specialized seminars in addition to ongoing courses. Similarly, she is the lead instructor at Walt Disney Imagineering.
Through her business, Mac-In-Art, Chana works in many fields, consulting on projects from concept to completion. Her projects include corporate identity, interactive multimedia design, web design, onscreen presentations, CD/DVD covers, magazine covers, movie posters and brochures for clients such as Warner Brothers, Sony, Disney, Universal, Mattel, Houlihan & Lockey, Nike, Apple, and Adobe.
Chana is part of the Adobe Professional Freelance Team, is an Adobe Partner and Adobe Community Expert, as well as the Southern California Adobe Illustrator Users Group Manager. She holds the following professional certifications:

Carlos Eton
Carlos Eton has been a software and programming instructor and softskills workshop facilitator for over 19 years. A dynamic instructor who has worked with various student audiences, he he brings passion and enthusiam to the classroom. He has taught thousands of courses ranging from Computer Usage Fundamentals to MS Office, computer programming, web design, media development, effective presentations, teamwork, workplace accountability, and many others.
In addition to being a computer instructor, Carlos has enjoyed being a motivational speaker, community college instructor, public speaker, musician, and standup comic.
Thea Iberall, Ph.D.
Dr. Thea Iberall has been a computer trainer since 1991, and a college professor before that. For multiple companies across Southern California, she has trained in desktop publishing, Office software, graphic design, web programming, database management and object-oriented programming applications. Thea has a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University. Thea also does computer consulting to toy companies (ask her about the time she shut down an airport for 2 hours because of what they thought was in her suitcase). In her spare time, she has been a poet, a playwright, a clown, and a scientist. Thea is one of those people who can use both sides of her brain, so students both learn a lot and enjoy her classes.
